The Cultural Beacon of Excellence in the UAE
The Chamber formation of the UAE Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 2022 under the inspired leadership of Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Nicolas Mann, along with Xenia Back. This ensemble comprises exceptionally talented residents and Emiratis of the United Arab Emirates, with new talents continually enriching its ranks. In 2024 Rebranded as 'UAE Phil' it became the first orchestra in the UAE to offer a full yearly concert season, performing a diverse repertoire ranging from Baroque masterpieces to 20th-century works. Nowadays, the UAE Philharmonic Orchestra performs mainly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while also reaching audiences across all the Emirates
The orchestra's debut performance was a landmark event at the inauguration of a new project by Infinity Des Lumières, attended by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, highlighting the ensemble's significant cultural impact from the outset.
Following its impressive debut, the Chamber Philharmonic of UAE collaborated with world-renowned artists and plans to welcome more acclaimed talent in the future. The ensemble expanded from a chamber to a symphony orchestra and signed a full-season partnership with the Theatre of Digital Arts. In October 2024, the UAE Philharmonic made its Dubai Opera debut, performing with the Eurovision-winning tenors Il Volo.
Nowadays managed by BACKART Production - UAE Philharmonic Orchestra has quickly established itself as one of the leading ensembles in the Middle East, performing at prestigious venues such as Dubai Opera, Sikka Art & Design Festival, Theatre of Digital Art, and Zabeel Theater. The orchestra has also represented the UAE abroad in countries including Russia and India, while collaborating with renowned artists from the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. These initiatives promise to enhance the cultural landscape of the UAE, offering unique opportunities for sponsors and investors to align with a rapidly rising star in the world of classical music.
